Scone Aero Club – News

First meeting of the new Aero Club committee held. (Tuesday 21/10/2025) The new committee members are Harley McKillop – President, Ellen Partridge – Vice President, Haydon King – Secretary, Brian Hill – Treasurer, David Haydon – Licensee Manager, Ian Murray, Scott Bridge, Bryce Suanders, Sean Fox, Craig Pagden.

Draught Beer on tap for Friday Night Drinks. Draught beer has been added to the Friday night drinks line up. The bar is open from around 4 pm to all members and their guests.

Gloucester Fly in and BBQ – 2nd and 3rd November – Gloucester Aero Club. Come and join us for a relaxed weekend. We’ll have lunch Sat, dinner Sat night and brekky Sunday. All at humane prices, no landing fees. We’ve got Muzza on guitar for a sing along and a big bonfire. Any questions call Andy 0416 240949.

Regular Events

Come join us for drinks and nibbles at the Scone Aero Club most Friday afternoons from 15:00 hrs. The atmosphere is warm and the beverages cold. Draught beers and wines also available. Unwind with a game of darts.

Most Saturday mornings at 10am we have tea and coffee & scones and good conversation. This is a time that aviators from other areas and clubs may fly in and visit.

Bring the family if you wish. An enclosed area with views to the airfield is great for children.

The third Saturday of the month includes a sausage sizzle BBQ at midday.

Upcoming special events

Working Bee – To tidy up and Fill potholes in the car park and to tidy up top dress and seed the lawn in the enclosed area and to install a tap for irrigation. Bring your rake and shovel on Sat 1st November 2025 at 8AM. There will be a mechanised digger there for the hard work. There will be some refreshments and snacks provided for those who attend and get their hands dirty.
